Out on a Townie

Saturday as a whole was an amazing day filled with many sweet blessings from the Lord: Sunrise walks, peaceful mornings, picnics in the park, and townie bike rides through Windsor!

Our local bike shop Spokes is on the move, relocating from their current store behind The Egg & I (a must visit diner) to a store front next to Alba's Coffee (another must visit). How does one move a bike shop you ask? ~ Well I'll tell you by asking some Ellerslie Students if they want to go on a bike ride!

About 40 Ellerslie girls walked down to Spokes, excited at the adventure that lay ahead.

We walked in the store and picked out any bike we wanted to. There were soft pinks, lime greens with tropical flowers, sweet blues, and in my case spunky tangerine!

And let me just say these were no ordinary bikes but top of the line, if only kinds of bikes. And very lady like bicycles indeed!

Off we went with Jade at the front leading a parade of 40 girls down the back roads of Windsor. It was a sight to see.

And a journey that ended all too soon. We arrived at the new Spokes establishment a little bit heavier hearted then when we had left. For in that short time we had all grown quiet attached to our bicycles.

Maybe I will be able to visit him from time to time, take him to the park, make sure he's not lonely...

Oh, what fun we had!
