Field Trip Days
When I was in school I loved field trip days, trips to the zoo, the science museum, the opera, the nature preserve... I can't think of any kid who wouldn't love a field trip; a chance to break free from the class room, touch a few animals, take part in scientific experiments!
Today was field trip day for the home schoolers of Pleasantview Street. The 4H Farm. It was more like a petting zoo, with farm animals, where the guides spoke on what these animals jobs would be if they were on a farm. None the less we got to pet some animals, learn some facts, and most importantly depart from the daily routine of school work.
Overall I would say field trip day was a success! Grace just came into my room to inform me that we now have a farm in our backyard. There is a horse, a goat, a sheep, and a pig. When asked why no cow, she said don't worry we're making one. Hmmm. I must go check this out, if it's as interesting as it sounds there will be pictures posted later.
